Your ticket includes: Access to our Brunch Buffet, Book Bazaar, Live Music and Special Performances from our International Brave New Voices Youth Poetry Slam Team (that came second in the world!) with special guest Nate Marshall!

Every book that you buy at the Book Bazaar will support the young people we serve. The bazaar will include a diverse selection of poetry, young adult and fiction titles, donated by some of the most renowned contemporary literary artists of our age. Nate Marshall is from the South Side of Chicago. He is the author ofWild Hundredsand an editor ofThe BreakBeat Poets: New American Poetry in the Age of Hip-Hop.Wild Hundredshas been honored with the Black Caucus of the American Library Associations award for Poetry Book of the Year and The Great Lakes College Associations New Writer Award.His last rap album,Growncame out in 2015 with his groupDaily Lyrical Product. Nate is a member ofThe Dark Noise Collective. He completed his B.A. at Vanderbilt University and an M.F.A. at The University of Michigans Helen Zell Writers' Program.Nate has received fellowships fromCave Canem,The Poetry Foundation, andThe University of Michigan. He is the Director of National Programs forLouder Than A Bomb Youth Poetry Festivaland has taught at The University of Michigan, Wabash College, and Northwestern University.
