From Pattie: NEXT ASCA MEETING!!! Our next ASCA meeting is on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 11th, 6:30 pm at Washington Village (see agenda below). Now that the nice weather is "ALMOST" here, we will be addressing beach/park public safety - cleaning the square - and Boston Shines. We're excited to get started on some great new beautification initiatives!!! Immediately following our meeting is the MOAKLEY PARK VISION PLAN, just a short walk away, at the Tierney Learning Center. We'll wrap up the ASCA meeting as quickly as possible, so that we can head over to attend this important conversation - (which will be one of many) - to assess our beautiful Park and come up with a vision for its future. *** The Andrew Square Civic Association serves as a forum for the discussion of neighborhood interests, by acting as a liaison with governmental bodies, institutions, and local businesses, and by working with other neighborhood organizations to address common interests. From Pattie: ASCA MEMBERS – DO YOU HAVE CABIN FEVER?! Well venture out tonight and join us for the March ASCA Meeting, when one of our agenda items will be CLIMATE READY BOSTON. Climate Ready Boston is an initiative to develop resilient solutions to prepare our city for climate change – and are working with the community, and other partners, to advance their vision. They will also touch upon Moakley Park Vision Plan. This group is beginning to study and evaluate Moakley Park, structures and infrastructure to assess future park renovations and climate resiliency potential. And if that’s not enough to get you out, see below tonight’s door prize (must be member to be eligible) – donated by GrandTen Distillery and beautifully decorated by ASCA member Maura. Meeting starts 6:30 p.m. at Washington Village – 240 Old Colony Ave (corner of Dorchester Street and Old Colony Ave). Hope to see you tonight! ASCA “we care about the square”
