MBTA to increase parking to $10 at some garages

At 46 T parking facilities, prices will remain the same. At every parking facility except Sullivan Square, the cost of parking on the weekends will drop from its current level. At Sullivan, the future $6 weekend rate is the current daily rate for parking at the Orange Line station.

Mother believes son's shooting death was 'over a girl'

Anthony S. Baker, Jr. died as the result of his injuries from a shooting at 10 Arthur St., where he was targeted about 6:15 p.m. Friday, according to the Plymouth County district attorney’s office. Baker was taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center and was pronounced dead. He was just 21 years old.

Brenda Baker, the mother, said she now needs assistance to pay for her son’s funeral. Baker said if anyone wishes to contribute, they can mail her at 22 Intervale St.
