    Muving, a European moped rental company founded by Ivan Contreras, one of the founders behind Skully Technologies, Torrot GasGas and Sensefields, recently launched in Midtown. At least 75 scooters are now available for residents hoping to bypass traffic with the ease of downloading Muving's mobile app.

This Startup Connects Teachers With Documentary Filmmakers to Help Keep Students Engaged

From now until July 1, the startup is hosting its third annual short documentary contest international film contest, for which the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive cash prizes of $700, $300, $150, respectively. The reception for the previous year’s winner will be hosted Aug. 9 at 1871.

RISD, Infosys Announce Partnership

Additionally, Infosys will open a 25,000-square-foot Design & Innovation Hub at 75 Fountain Street in Providence  at the end of the summer.

    Providence-based consulting and technology firm Infosys has announced a new partnership with the Rhode Island School of Design that will result in the training of 1,000 global designers within the next two years. The move is an effort to both increase the development of Infosys' designers and find ways to tackle industry problems that straddle both the design and technology spaces.

Latest Edition: See How Boston Rents Compare By T Stop

This year, RentHop found that only 90 T stops experienced rent growth, compared to 101 stops last year. As always, the study broke down the lists of T stops that saw the biggest rent drops, as well as the the biggest rent hikes.

    Renting in Boston is still crazy expensive, but rents have-at least-slowed down their skyrocketing growth. A new study from apartment listing site RentHop found that Boston experienced a 3% rent growth from 2017 to 2018, which the study qualifies as "moderate."

    Amazon.com Inc. announced today it will hire for 2,000 new tech jobs in the Seaport once it takes over 430,000 square feet of office space at the next phase of office development in Boston's Seaport Square. The announcement confirms Boston Business Journal reporting from February and is independent from the Seattle company's ongoing search for a location for its second headquarters.
