The Labouré Center cordially invites you to The Snow Angels Project’s Snow Shoveling Ceremony The Labouré Center is excited to announce the launch our new volunteer program: The Snow Angel Project. This is a volunteer service aimed to help our local elderly and disabled neighbors battle the harsh winter weather. Through this program, the Labouré Center will be providing volunteers with the necessary snow removal supplies (e.g., shovels, rock salt) and pairing them with frail elders and disabled residents who need help shoveling after snowstorms. Snow removal is often a daunting thought for our elderly and disabled neighbors in South Boston. When there are large snowfalls, seniors can face isolation and immobility. Those seniors who chose to remove snow themselves face the possibility of serious muscle strain, falls on the ice, and back injury. Those who cannot remove snow either rely on the kindness of their neighbors, or pay someone to remove it for them. However, paying for this service is not always an option for the 40% of those South Boston seniors living in households where the annual income is less than $20,000. Our goal is to take the worry out of winter and recruit volunteers for every block in South Boston! Please help us kick off this program in style! Come grab a shovel take a photo with other elected officials as well as Labouré staff, clients, and benefactors. The program will be limited to 20 minutes. Date: Sunday, December 3 Time: 11:35am Place: The Labouré Center 275 West Broadway South Boston, MA 02127 To RSVP please contact me at email@example.com or at 617.308.4922. Sincerely, Jake Bombard, Director Catholic Charities Labouré Center

“You walk into this building and you feel like you’re in a millennial resort,” National Development managing partner Ted Tye said of the coliving buildings Ollie manages in other cities. “It’s kind of like a grown-up college experience.”
