We have joined efforts with Fenway Community Development Corporation on a campaign regulate corporate short-term rentals. There is increasing evidence that nightly rental platforms such as AirBnB, as well as corporate short-stays, take apartments off the long-term rental market and are a factor in driving up rents to unaffordable levels. This is why we have launched a postcard campaign to support legislation from Rep. Aaron Michlewitz (H.3454). For more information on how to get involved in this statewide campaign, or to sign a postcard, please email or call Jason Desrosier at Desrosier@allstonbrightoncdc.org or (617) 787-3874 x206. We will be dropping off the postcards to City Hall and the State House in February.
