Jamaica Plain residents were awarded Boston Arts and Culture grants, including to Nancy Marks, whose work "The Opioid Project" is a series of community-based workshops and art exhibitions highlighting "the complex social narrative of addiction while giving space and ‘voice’ to all those connected to the opioid epidemic."

'Tis the time of the year for the legislative crunch as bills can stay where they are or be moved on and progress. As chair of the House Committee on Ways and Means, state Rep. Jeffrey Sanchez can move things along. Thus groups like environmental political orgs are calling on him to move legislation along, such as two climate justice bills.

Public meeting on July 19th: The developer says parents don't want to live near train tracks, thus they gotta have more 1/2-bedrooms and fewer 3-bedrooms. Maybe it's just us -- but lots of parents live near train tracks.
