Welcoming New Executive Director at Youth and...
Welcoming New Executive Director at Youth and Family Enrichment Services! Mishella Etienne-Campbell has been appointed the Executive Director of Youth and Family Enrichment Services (YoFES), a 15-year-old non-profit community service organization that helps to build strong families through a range of programs targeted toward Greater Boston's Haitian Community. Mishella holds both an undergraduate and graduate degree with Honors from the University of Massachusetts, Boston in Applied Sociology. She brings with her over 12 years of experience in executive management, contract negotiations, sales and community outreach. Members of the search committee were impressed by her passion and experience in music education, youth programing and her knowledge of the local Haitian community. She has the combination of an engaging personality, programmatic and financial management skills, confidence and determination that will enable her to fulfill the role of Executive Director. Her strengths are well-suited to enabling YoFES to communicate its mission and story to key stakeholders, prospective community partners and donors, city and state agencies, elected officials, and beyond. Mishella has strong connections with the Haitian-American Community in Boston, serving on a number of Boards or in leadership positions within several organizations and community initiatives. She will build upon YoFES’ existing assets, including a committed leadership, a talented and dedicated staff, eagerly participating children and parents, and our many external partners. We are confident the community will enjoy working with Mishella to strengthen our youth and families. YoFES is a 15-year-old non-profit community service organization that helps build strong families by engaging primarily Haitian youth of all ages and involving their families in After-School Programs, Music Education and Performance and Summer Enrichment, as well as Health Education for teens and young adults. We believe that all children should have access to quality education, enrichment opportunities, health care and a safe community in which to grow and thrive. Highly committed YoFES staff, board members and parents are committed to empowering and equipping children for successful, healthy lives.
