The Health Incentives Program is so popular, its future is now in doubt - The Boston Globe
For 10 years, disabled single mother Rebecca Martin has depended on a combination of federal benefits, smart shopping, and hard choices to feed herself and her children. Did you know that in this country, only 2.1 million farmers feed all 327 million of us? Farming is also the second whitest profession (next to being a veterinarian). Check out this short article on the U.S. Farm Bill and learn why these things are important to all of us! https://buff.ly/2Grvm0x

How Does the Farm Bill Affect Everyday Americans?
Congress renews legislation known as the Farm Bill every five years or so to address a range of issues, from farm subsidies to food stamps. This month, we asked Ricardo Salvador, director of our Food and Environment (F&E) Program, to explain how the Farm Bill, which Congress is now drafting, affects everyday Americans and why we should pay attention to this relatively obscure debate currently playing out on Capitol Hill.
