It’s a yellow kind of day! 💛 The artist, Dewing, created a striking contrast between the precisely modeled face and arms, and the feathery brushstrokes of the dress. Isabella thought the painting on the right (Juana of Austria and a Young Girl) was a Titian, and therefore hung it in the Titian room opposite his Europa painting. Although not by Titian, it was painted at the same time that the Europa painting arrived at the Spanish court.
