    By Steve Provizer April is America's Jazz Appreciation month and a local event created to mark this, the Arlington Jazz Festival, has been growing into an increasingly ambitious celebration. The 7th edition of the festival will run from April 26 through 29, with performances throughout Arlington, in venues ranging from Arlington City Hall (indoors) and Town Hall Gardens(outdoors), to cafes, restaurants and Art spaces.

Arbor Week events to take place April 23-27; Tree Advisory Committee meets on April 25

April 24: City Arborist Dave Lefcourt plans to table outside City Hall, 795 Massachusetts Ave., Central Square, from 10 a.m. to noon to hand out free seedlings and other materials, as well as talk with residents about the role trees play in the city.
