Hypodermic needle used in South End robbery, police say

At approximately 9:30 p.m., officers assigned to the South End followed up on a call describing the incident, which occurred in the rear of 29 E. Springfield St. Police said the victim told them about Mazzone brandishing the syringe and threatening to stab him if he did not give him money.
