Tokyo Restaurant Property in Cambridge to Be Replaced by a Used-Car Dealership

The address for the Tokyo Restaurant property is 307 Fresh Pond Parkway.

    Boston Restaurant Talk
Earlier this year, we reported that the site of a long-closed restaurant in Cambridge could be demolished to make way for affordable housing. Now we have learned that the structure will indeed be torn down, though plans for affordable housing are no longer in the works.

Tokyo Restaurant site will be used-car lot, though what fits in showroom is unknown

A rendering of a used car dealership to be built at 307 Fresh Pond Parkway, in the Alewife neighborhood.

Tokyo Restaurant site will be used-car lot, though what fits in showroom is unknown
A used-car dealership is approved to take over a prominent space on Fresh Pond Parkway where the former Tokyo Restaurant has sat decaying for well over a decade. It will operate in conjunction with the Mobil gas station and Abe's Complete Auto Service to its rear as a family business; dad runs the gas station and auto shop, and son runs the car dealership.

Ashmont Farmers Market shared Mayor's Office ...

Farmers' Markets are Beloved, but the Government May Cut Their Funding | Civil Eats
America's current farm bill expires at the end of September 2018, leaving less than a year before lawmakers could begin to make cuts to a variety of federal programs affecting food and farming. And, despite America's growing love for farmers' markets, it's looking unlikely that the Farmer Markets Promotion Program (FMPP) will be prioritized in the coming bill.

This the Ashmont Farmers Market brought hundreds of people together each week to shop, meet neighbors, and even get in a workout during the #FitFridays programming by Dorchester YMCA and 4 Corners Yoga + Wellness.
