Low pressure will pass south of New England late tonight & Thursday. This will bring another batch of precipitation across the region. Precipitation amounts are expected to range from about one-quarter to around one-half inch. Temperatures will be marginally cold enough to cause a mix or change to snow after midnight tonight into mid morning Thursday near and north of the Mass Pike. Most of the accumulations will be on grassy surfaces, but readings may be cold enough for light accumulations on untreated surfaces across the Worcester Hills and Berkshires. Expect the rain to taper off Thursday evening as the low moves farther offshore.

There will be some breaks in the clouds across eastern Massachusetts into Rhode Island. Temperatures will top off in the mid to upper 40s across the higher terrain to the lower to mid 50s across the coastal plain to the Connecticut River valley.
