The Out of the Darkness Walk starts at the BU Beach, behind Marsh Chapel, 735 Commonwealth Ave., at 11 am. Registration begins at 10 am. You can preregister here.

#TBT Made in satin and silk, these purple slippers were made by Chapelle, a Parisian maker of fine women's shoes. Isabella later gifted them to her goddaughter, Katharine Foote (the perfect name to be given a pair of shoes!) Object: Maison Chapelle Cordonnier, Pair of Purple Slippers, about 1900, satin, silk, grosgrain silk, and leather (lined with white kid and linen).
