In a new book, Professor Julian Agyeman explores the intersection of street food vending and food trucks in our increasingly intercultural cities.

Food Trucks as a Force for Social Justice
Food trucks are increasingly popular across the country-for proof look no further than the fact the Food Network's competition show The Great Food Truck Race is now in its eighth season. Often these mobile food vendors sell ethnic foods that are otherwise unavailable, and can serve as a gateway for immigrants and others to establish brick-and-mortar businesses.

New research from Tufts' HNRCA finds people who eat one-and-a-half servings of green leafy vegetables per day have the cognitive function of people eleven years younger than those who eat little or no leafy greens.

    Kale and Your Brain
Swapping out a salad for French fries is obviously a smart choice for keeping your weight down, but it also seems to be good for your brain. A recent study found that consumption of green leafy vegetables may help slow the decline in cognitive abilities-or brain function-in older adults.

Have you been following first year student William Scott's journey on the Jeopardy! College Championship? Tune in tonight for the final match!

What's the Best Way to Get on "Jeopardy!"?
How do you prepare to be on Jeopardy!, the classic game show? William Scott's strategy was watching as many episodes as he could, studying the conventions of categories such as Potent Potables and Before & After. That, and playing along while holding "one of those pens that makes obnoxious clicking sounds" to practice buzzing in.

This spring, TIE has been busy sponsoring several events around Tufts University and the Greater #Boston Area. Carolyn Melkenburg, who attended the Alewife Resilience Symposium, said: “The Alewife Resilience Symposium was a valuable interdisciplinary event that prioritized how to bring people together to combat #climatechange. One of the most exciting aspects of the event was the fact that so many community members attended -- from volunteers, to community workers and city planners to discuss the risks faced by the Alewife #River watershed. This really brought home to me just how many angles there were to consider when developing resilience strategies and that community involvement and investment is imperative to success."
