Using stem cells, Tufts researchers created a 3D model of the human small intestine to test the progression of intestinal diseases, including cancer

    Gut Check
Many diseases affect the human small intestine system-from bacterial, viral and parasitic infections to cancer-but scientists trying to study how those diseases progress have been stymied by the limitations of animal and laboratory models, which often don't correlate with human responses to disease.

"Killers of the Flower Moon" by Fletcher alum David Grann was named a finalist this year for the prestigious National Book Award!

    The Storyteller | Tufts Magazine
By 2012, Grann had developed something of a cult following, not only because of his New Yorker stories but also because of his eclectic Twitter feed, which had attracted thousands of followers. But that spring he went completely dark-for five years. His byline didn't appear again in The New Yorker until 2017.

    It's a Wonderland Life | Tufts Magazine
Morton Norton Cohen first learned of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson-the author better known as Lewis Carroll-when his older sister gave him Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and said, "You ought to read it by yourself."
