    Tufts Appoints New Chief Diversity Officer
    Tufts University has named Amy Freeman, a champion of women and multiculturality in engineering, as its new chief diversity officer and associate provost. The president of the Women in Engineering ProActive Network, Freeman has been the assistant dean of engineering outreach and inclusion at Pennsylvania State University for the past 13 years, overseeing the Multicultural Engineering Program and Women in Engineering Program, and leading partnerships with Career Resources and the Graduate School as well as faculty projects.
